1. What reports should I order?
Our clients ask us this question everyday.

FOR TENANT SCREENING
Evicting a bad tenant can take months and cost you thousands of dollars. We recommend the following reports always be run if you are screening a new tenant.

Periodic Checks
Your current tenants financial situation and criminal record can change faster than you think. We recommend that you run the following reports on your current tenants once a year.

FOR EMPLOYEE SCREENING
Employee screening will help you avoid the risk of any NEGLIGENT HIRING LAWSUITS. We recommend the following reports be run on each new employee.

  1. Social Security number Verification
  2. Peer Credit Report from Trans Union
  3. Statewide Instant Criminal Check
  4. County Criminal Check
  5. Driving Record Check

Periodic Checks
A regularly scheduled background check may reveal changes in behavior that might require some corrective action or attention. We recommend the following reports be run once a year on all of your current employees.

2. What reports are available online?
The following reports are available online and returned in 30 seconds

  1. Experian Credit Reports - Includes a Free National Risk Score
  2. Trans Union Credit Reports - Includes a Free Emperica Score
  3. PEER Employee Screening Credit reports
  4. STATE-WIDE CRIMINAL CONVICTION HISTORY SEARCHES
  5. HOUSING COURT CHECKS
  6. CREDITFACTS CUSTOM SCORING MODULE

3. Risk Scores
Each credit report is returned with a FREE risk score from the credit bureaus.

  1. Experian National Risk Score: The score range is 1-1000 - 1 being the best 1000 being the worst
  2. Fico Score from Experian: The score range is 250-850 - 250 being the worst 850 being the best
  3. Emperica Score from Trans Union: The score range is 250-850 - 250 being the worst 850 being the best

4. How do I log in to order reports?
Go to www.creditfacts.com and click the check mark in the middle of the page that's says "Member Log in"

5. How do I order reports?
Ordering reports from the Creditfacts website is easy.

  1. Log on to www.creditfacts.com
  2. Enter your username and password
  3. Choose get new reports
  4. Enter A reference for billing purposes ( optional)
  5. Enter the applicants Name, Social Security number and Address.
  6. IF you order a spouses credit report it will be merged in to one report.
  7. If you enter the Zip Code the state and city will automatically fill in
  8. Select the Credit Bureau(s) - If you order both they will be merged in to 1 report
  9. To order "Evictions Records" choose the Evictions tab and choose the State and check applicant
  10. To order "CRIMINAL HISTORY SEARCHES" choose the Criminal tab and choose the state and check applicant
  11. Click the SUBMIT button and your report will be processed and returned in 30 seconds.

All reports will be merged into one easy to read report

6. I entered all the applicants' information, clicked submit but the report did not come back.
If you entered all the applicants information, clicked submit and your report was not returned

  1. Click the REFESH button on the website to see if your report appears
  2. Log out and log in again to see if your report appears.
  3. If the report still does not appear please call our office

7. How do I print the reports?
IF you click the PDF Icon that is next to the applicants name a PDF file will be open up on your screen with the report that you can print out. You must have Adobe Acrobat reader 5.0 or later installed on each computer that view reports. Click the image below for your free adobe Acrobat Reader.

If you click the HTML Icon that is to the left of the PDF icon, an unformatted report will appear that you can print.

8. My reports do not print correctly when use the PDF format
IF your PDF reports are not printing correctly you may need to change the following settings on your adobe acrobat reader.

  1. Bring up a PDF Creditfacts report on your computer
  2. Press the print button - A print settings box will appear (DO NOT PRINT YET)
  3. Make sure the following boxes have check marks placed inside.
          Print as Image
          Shrink oversized pages to paper size
          Expand small pages to paper size
          Auto-rotate and center pages
  4. You are now ready to print the file. If are still having problems printing please call us.

If you are using a pop up killer on your system you may have to disable it for the Adobe Acrobat Reader to work correctly

9. How do I print a declination letter?
If you decline an applicant because of a credit report you must provide them with a declination letter. Declination letters can be printed from the "options" drop down box that is located under the "Actions" heading. After you click the "Declination letter" it will open up on your screen. A drop down box appears on this form that will let you choose the reason why the applicant was denied. You may also type in additional information on the form itself before printing.
